Praia d’el Rey is located on the west of Portugal along the pristine shores of Portugal’s Silver Coast, 50 minutes from Lisbon.
177 rooms located on the seafront, luxuriously decorated and with amenities that ensure a comfortable stay.
The rooms with a beautiful view of the sea and the suites have undergone a recent renovation, thus improving the guest experience and making your stay unforgettable.
You can also count on three restaurants and a bar with incredible ocean views. Outdoor pool. Indoor heated pool and gym (with operating hours from 9am to 6pm, except on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays which is from 8am to 7pm. Jacuzzi and Turkish bath are still interdicted). This alteration aims to maintain compliance with the Clean & Safe Seal protocols regarding the sanitization of materials after each use, control of the gym and indoor pool capacity, as well as the registration of users. All our golf tuition holidays are structured so everyone gets the most out of their time with our coaches. We run each holiday with a maximum of 4 students per professional and base all groups on golfing standard. Using Trackman 4 ball and video data combined with multi veiw videos we have the ability to make huge strides with each golfer or make subtle changes to get the most from your golf.
You start each morning with a 2 hour session with your coach on the range and short game areas followed by an 18 hole playing lesson where we can help implement these changes and work on your course performance. Through your stay you have the same coach at all times so we really get to know your game and how we can help you most.
Praia d’el Rey
Par 73 18 Hole Course
Praia D’El Rey is rated amongst the top golf courses in Europe by Golf World Magazine and is one of Portugal’s major golfing destinations.
The course is a mixture of seaside links and parkland holes with a par of 73, offering the golfer a unique experience.
West Cliffs Links
Par 72
This perfect golfing terrain is a true masterpiece with rolling fairways and undulating greens proving a great test of golf. Various tee positions mean golfers of all abilities can experience West Cliffs Golf Links as you play through the natural scrubland and expansive sand dunes.
Royal Obidos
Par 72
The golf course at Royal Obidos was the last course designed by Seve Ballesteros and possibly his best. The course subtly integrates the natural surroundings and utilises the Lagoa de Obidos (lagoon).

James Andrews Golf Holiday Praia D’El Rey Portugal
Just returned from a marvellous 4 day tutored golf holiday with James Andrews golf school in the Praia D’El Ray resort in Portugal. This is my 4th holiday with James and probably the best one to date. As always the coaching from James and Joe was excellent and patient and the camaraderie amongst the group of golfers was great. The Marriot hotel food and facilities were also extremely good. What made this trip so special was that we played on 3 of the best golf courses I’ve ever been on: Praia D’el Ray, Royal Obidos and West Cliffs.
