Golf Tuition Holiday – 5* Precise Resort El Rompido, Costa de la Luz Huelva, SPAIN
Once again we visit the delightful Precise Resort El Rompido in Spain, as part of the James Andrews golf tuition holidays programme. James and Joe will be hosting the trip, staying in the 5* hotel. El Rompido features two beautiful courses, North and South, both nestled in a wonderful coastal setting. There are also superb golf practice areas, an “Andalucian” inspired restaurant, spa, pool & sauna facilities for you to enjoy during your stay.
Group sizes are kept to a maximum of 4 students per coach. We will work with you on the driving range and short game area each morning covering all aspects of your technique from driving to putting. After lunch you can take these new skills onto the course for a 18 hole playing lesson under the watchful eye of your coach who will be with you throughout the duration of the holiday. This trip is suitable for single golfers, couples and friends and is a social holiday to improve your golf, meet like-minded people and enjoy the quality Precise Resort El Rompido has to offer.
Located in Spain, Precise Resort El Rompido is best accessed by flying into Faro International Airport in Portugal, and reached with a transfer time of just over 60 minutes. Once checked in to the 5* hotel, our first night together will be very relaxed and informal. We’ll meet at La Galea Bar that’s positioned in the heart of the hotel’s lobby, perhaps for a cocktail or two before dinner in the Andalusian themed Binidali Restaurant.
After a restful night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, every golf day we will head to the practice ground for a two hour coaching session. There will be time for lunch and refreshments before venturing out to play either the North or South golf courses to put your skills to the test!
The Semi-All Inclusive board basis is a popular choice for golfer’s as your day is spent out on the lush fairways and manicured greens. As the sun begins to set, golfer’s often head for well deserved drinks at La Galea Bar to discuss the day’s play. There’s a real buzz in the evenings at this hotel and the atmosphere is truly fantastic.
A trip to Precise Resort El Rompido is a sociable one. As with all James Andrews holidays, the main emphasis to is have fun, which makes this trip perfect for couples and singles.

If you’re looking for a fantastic way to improve your golf, with great company and some time to relax, book a James Andrews Tuition holiday!
My mum (Jane) and I are no strangers to a weekend with the JAGS team, but this was our first tuition holiday abroad. Both of us booked with the same aims of increasing our confidence on the course and improving our technique, with the added bonus of feeling a bit warmer and the likelihood of having some sun (not always the case in Colchester!). There was ample opportunity to work on some aspect of the game, and coaching and advice is always near at hand. However, it’s worth mentioning that if you wanted a more “feet-up” holiday, there was always the option to miss a morning session, or to only play 9 holes in the afternoon.
Coaching was mainly delivered by James and Joe, who are incredibly good at what they do. Their instruction is clear, patient and encouraging… even at points of personal frustration they manage to make you smile and keep morale high!
The group was very diverse, with a range of ages, backgrounds and previous golf experience. We all got on exceptionally well which meant we could feel at ease out on course and during meals.
Once you return, you will receive some TrackMan analysis with some tips and pointers to work on.
This was our first ever golf holiday abroad, and we did quite a lot of research about travel bags (we bought a MacGregor VIP II) and what to pack for a golf trip. This is well worth the effort as it is really important to protect your clubs on the plane, and also to enjoy a stress-free holiday once you are there.
Worth noting that Faro is an hour west of El Rompido, and Seville is an hour east, so we spent a long weekend in Seville before our week of golf, and followed the week with a weekend in Faro before returning home. This worked really well and we would thoroughly recommend it!
Thank you to the JAGS team and to our fellow golfers on the trip – it was a super week! We are looking forward to organising our next trip!
So far I have been on 3 of James Andrews golf trips, when you weight up the whole package, it’s an amazing price, coupled with the pro,s joining you as you play each round of golf, which is something you just do not get anywhere else is a fantastic extension to what’s already a fantastic trip. All the Professionals are brilliant, and do not overwhelm with to much to take in, they concentrate and just a couple of items at a time, I have been taught 3 times on the trips and at the academy, great teachers, very relaxed and tends to highlight items that really improve your swing. I highly recommend these golf trips. Great company, great food, loads of fun.
What a fantastic time with James and his team last week in El Rompido. Their knowledge of golf and swing mechanics is incredible and their delivery in teaching makes the learning process fun.
Would highly recommend their golf tuition to any golfer, regardless of ability, who wants to improve their game.
