Here’s a list of the most frequent top questions and answers we are asked by our clients. Please contact us if you have any questions or queries that are not listed or are unsure of anything relating to our advertised golf tuition holidays, escorted tours or competitions.

1) I’m interested in a holiday that is advertised on your website. I am recreational solo golfer. I’m not currently a member of a golf club so I don’t have a handicap but I can get around a course on a good day! However I would like to get away, meet other people and play some golf in the sun. I would really like to join a trip, is that possible?

You most certainly can and you will be most welcome! Our trips cater for solo golfer’s so you don’t need to be part of a group or couple to join us. Having fun, enjoying the relaxed, informal, social aspects of the trip, experiencing the culture of the location and playing some great golf courses is the main emphasis of our trips. To play the majority of the courses we work with you will not need an official handicap. Many golf courses now operate “Gender Free” tees meaning that you select where you tee off from based on your ability and not gender.

2) Can I hire golf clubs if I don’t want to bring my own set?

Yes! We can arrange a rental/hire set for you to use throughout the duration of your trip. Many golfer’s now hire clubs to save the carriage costs incurred by the airlines when taking their set of golf clubs abroad. As a result, the quality of the hire equipment available has improved greatly in recent years. Please contact us at the booking stage if you require a rental/hire set.

3) Is it possible to book extra nights and rounds of golf?

Many of our clients decide to arrive at the destination earlier or stay on for a few extra days. This might be to add on extra rounds of golf, visit family or friends or just have a longer holiday! All can be arranged through ourselves and is subject to availability. 

4) My partner would like to join me on a trip but they do not play any golf. Is that possible?

We are asked this question frequently. The answer is yes! – subject to availability. We can provide you with a “Non Golfer” rate that includes the accommodation, board basis and return airport transfers.

5) Do I need to have an official handicap to play in one of the advertised competitions?

Yes!

6) I see that return airport transfers to the hotel/resort are included. Is that based on a certain flight time to a particular airport?

That is correct. In the majority of cases the arranged return airport transfer will be based on a particular flight time to the nearest airport to the resort or hotel. For larger groups there maybe a choice of multiple airports and times to suit you. We can organise a return airport transfer if your flight times differ or you can arrange transfers/taxis yourself. Either way, we’re happy to help!

7) Is a deposit payment required when booking and when is the balance due?

Firstly to secure a place on a trip/event requires a  £200 deposit (unless otherwise stated) at the time of booking. The balance payment is due in full 3 months prior to the date of travel.

8) Once I have booked my place on a trip and paid my deposit shall I go ahead and book my flights?

Please do not book your flights just yet because our advertised trips require a minimum number of participants  to go ahead. Once the numbers are met we will advise you that you are safe to proceed with booking your flights. If for any reason the advertised trip does not run, we will refund your deposit to you in full.
